Access to the programme
Limited entry, 340 places available.
Regarding the available spaces, there are 30 spots reserved for non-EU students, of which 5 spaces are reserved for Chinese students, living in China, studying under the Marco Polo Project.

Admission Test: TOLC-E test by CISIA on logic, mathematics and verbal comprehension. Furthermore, an understanding of English language at level B1, at least, is required.

Admission requirements
To access the course, a previous suitable background is required. Each curriculum requires specific knowledge, which the student should have before enrolling the university in order to attend the course successfully. This knowledge may be verified before enrolling.

If the result of the test is negative, the student can enroll, but they receive a supplementary required exam (OFA), which means that the student must fill any gaps in their background through specific activities organized by the University.

Admission with international qualification
Applicants with international qualification must have obtained a secondary school diploma after having completed at least 12 years of schooling. The preliminary evaluation of the qualification is mandatory. Procedures and deadlines are available on the dedicated online platform.
European applicants and non-European applicants with a permit of stay valid for enrolment must take the onsite admission test. Non-European applicants who need a visa for enrolment will take the admission test via Skype.

Course overview
This degree programme provides students with a complete and in-depth understanding of economic issues through a range of analytical tools in the economic, business, legal, quantitative fields, with particular attention to their international dimension. The two curricula are: Foreign Trade and Tourism Economics.

In the Foreign Trade Curriculum, students will be provided with useful and necessary skills to allow them to manage the complexity of import-export relations in business, value investments in foreign markets and organise production processes on an international scale.

In the Tourism Economics curriculum, students will acquire the necessary skills to be able to correctly interpret trends in global tourism markets, understand the complexity and the transversality of the tourism industry and know how to set up a development plan correctly for an organisation that operates in the tourism sector (private or public) or in a touristic destination.

The course includes an internship for personal development, preferably abroad at an agreed upon business or institution.

Occupational profiles
The graduate in Foreign Trade will be able to work as an expert in international business relations, as an assistant manager in international trade, as an export manager or as a purchasing agent.

The graduate in Tourism economics will be able to work in the touristic industry as part of the management team, as an assistant manager, as the head of customer services and in the relations with the suppliers, or as a public relations agent.

Examination assessment and graduation
The course includes lectures, workshops and a compulsory internship for the acquisition of expertise useful in the working world.
Throughout the course, the knowledge gathered by the students will be assessed through written and oral examinations.
The final exam consists of the submission of a written thesis (commensurate to the weight in credits) decided upon with a professor (rapporteur).
The final thesis may even consist of a written report on the results of experimental research or a written report on an internship.
