Admission requirements
To access the course, a previous suitable background is required. Each curriculum requires specific knowledge, which the student should have before enrolling the university in order to attend the course successfully. This knowledge may be verified before enrolling.
If the result of the test is negative, the student can enroll, but they receive a supplementary required exam (OFA), which means that the student must fill any gaps in their background through specific activities organized by the University.

Admission with international qualification
Applicants with international qualification must have obtained a secondary school diploma after having completed at least 12 years of schooling. The preliminary evaluation of the qualification is mandatory. Procedures and deadlines are available on the dedicated online platform.
Course overview
This Bachelor's Degree Programme aims to provide students with a critical learning of the main philosophical themes and issues in their historical development, in their theoretical extent, as well as in their connection with other disciplines and research fields (psychology, human sciences, education studies, artistic disciplines). Furthermore, this programme focuses on the knowledge of philosophical texts and the critical acquisition of methods and forms of philosophical reasoning.

Occupational profiles
Graduates may turn to advanced studies in the field of philosophical and social analysis and educational counselling. According to recent surveys carried out by Almalaurea, graduates have very diverse occupational profiles. Graduates who do not want to pursue their studies have a good job prospects in the following fields and institutions when enhancing the specific feature of their chosen curriculum: research, human resources (in private and public bodies), libraries, event organization, publishing, journalism, advertising, communication, analysis and training.
Graduates can also pursue their studies and attend a first-level Professional Master's Programme in philosophy and philosophical counselling as well as in education science.
Students interested in teaching at secondary schools have to obtain a Master’s degree and a further teaching qualification as by Italian law.

Examination assessment and graduation
The educational activities include classroom teaching, research activities and workshops in order to acquire wide-ranging skills that can be readily transferable into the world of work.
Knowledge acquired by students will be assessed through written and oral exams during the entire university career.
The degree exam consists in a paper/thesis that will be evaluated by the supervisor and the co-supervisor and a short discussion with the student.
